About Pack 336

Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 336 in Montvale, NJ. We been an active cub scout program since 1963, celebrating our 60th anniversary this year.

For decades our pack has brought the great outdoors to grade school children in Montvale and the surrounding area. We get kids outdoors to experience nature and learn scout skills like first aid, knot typing, camping, fire building and more. Through these skills our children also learn important life skills such as confidence and self-esteem, the value of hard work, and integrity.

Children that stay with scouting often go on to great achievements and leadership roles. For example, of the 24 people to travel to the Moon on the Apollo missions, 20 were Scouts, including 11 of the 12 Moonwalkers. Many US Presidents were involved in scouting as youth or adults.

President Woodrow Wilson, the only President from NJ, officially signed the United States Charter Program for the Boy Scouts of America (now Scouting, America) nationally recognizing the organization. President Dwight D Eisenhower was a strong supporter of Scouting for over 40 years. Presidents Kennedy, Ford (Eagle Scout), Clinton, both Bush Sr and Jr, and Obama were all in scouting as youth as was current President Joe Biden.
